These pieces draw on a fascination with the eastern Canadian forest as seen from above and up close, during long walks. The images in Forest I are made from small, torn pieces of paper to create large screens of stylised trees. Forest II are small scale ink, pastel and pencil drawings and Forest IIl, larger acrylic paintings on paper. It is sobering to recognise how these magnificent ecosystems are so vulnerable to the threats of a warming planet.
